. Tettenhall Towers was built by Colonel Thomas Thorneycroft as a house for him and his family. The Towers Theatre was originally a ballroom and has springs under the floor to make it a better dancing surface. The stage was built later on for the school when it started. The school was sold by the last member of the Thorneycroft family in 1942. The college's lower school building was completed in September 2000 and the science department in 2007.
The school grounds including a large wood, two football and rugby pitches and a cricket square.

History
The College was founded in 1863 by a group of prominent local businessmen and industrialists, most of who were associated with the Queen Street Congregational ChurchCongregational church

ISI Report
An ISI inspection took place during February and March 2010 The report makes reference to outstanding pastoral care, excellent arrangements for welfare, good progress in learning and academic achievement, excellent relationships amongst pupils of all ages and between pupils and teachers and the exemplary pupil behaviour.The recommended action points were:
- introduce a formal programme of enrichment in the sixth form to ensure all pupils receive a broad educational experience
- extend the implementation of assessment through marking and target-setting to ensure consistency of practice across the whole school
- allow time in the school day to systematically monitor teaching and learning in the EYFS
- identify the further development needs of the EYFS setting and formalise this in an improvement plan
- develop the EYFS outside area and plan more thoroughly for its use

Boys Boarding House
The Boys boarding house in Tettenhall College is part of a building which is attached to the school library, dining hall and the chapel. The boarding house contains 4 dormitories and 2 rooms in the middle of the boarding house.
