Gameplay

, must destroy 20 enemy tanks in each level, which enter the playfield from the top of the screen. The enemy tanks attempt to destroy the player's base (represented on the map as an eagle

), as well as the player's tank. A level is completed when the player destroys all 20 enemy tanks, but the game ends if the player's base is destroyed or the player loses all his lives.

A sequel named Tank Force

was released in 1991, which allowed 2 players to play simultaneously.

Eventually there was an 8-player version, played looking down on a table with 2 players per side.
