. Founded on January 31, 1928 by Türk Eğitim Derneği (Turkish Educational Association) it quickly became popular among the elite of the young republic. One of the best schools in pre-college level education, Ankara Koleji is also known for its basketball tradition, with respected teams at all levels, including a professional club competing in the Turkish national league.
The campus is located east of Taspınar village on Yumrubel in Incek, which is in the south part of the capital city Ankara.

The classrooms form the clusters, clusters form the class groups, and class groups lead to the formation of schools. In this formation all features have been planned to keep up with the pace of contemporary education. The premises of the new campus can accommodate 6000 people altogether. School sections consist of

• Kindergarten with a capacity of 450 students
• Primary school for grades 1-5 with a capacity of 2050 students
• Primary school for grades 6-8 with a capacity of 1800 students
• High school with a capacity of 1920 students including 120 prep-grade students.

The campus plans include many facilities such as

• A sports hall with a capacity of 3000 people,
• Two halls for training, indoor and outdoor swimming pools,
• A sports center consisting of squash, dance, gymnastics halls, fitness center and a sauna bath,
• A shopping center
• An art center with 9 studios for various purposes
• A science center for permanent and periodical scientific experiments
• A spacious theatre-auditorium for 800 people
• A culture and congress center
• A catering center
• College museum
• A social club with a restaurant, a cafebar, recreation centers, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts
• Life at campus becomes almost perfect with science, art, culture and sport activities which are the basic elements of contemporary education.
