Daniel Acacio made his first title defense in the welterweight division. Reza Madadi fought Rich Clementi for the vacant lightweigh belt. Thales Leites faced off with Jeremy Horn for the vacant middleweight belt.
Welterweight Trym Dahl was announced to fight on the preliminary card but he was removed with no further reason given. Papy Abedi
was scheduled to fight on the main card but was forced to withdraw due to an injury. On the 6th of April it was announced that Navid Yousefi was forced to withdraw from his fight against Junie Browning
due to injury and on the 21st of April it was announced that the fight between Browning and his new opponent Carlos Prada has been canceled.
Superior Challenge announced on their website the 14th of April that Bruno Carvalho
will replace Magnus Cedenblad
in his fight against Kyacey Uscola
. No reason for the replacement has been given. Victoria Sivinskaya from Ukraine
was replaced by Kristina Talvosaite to fight Lina Eklund.
On the 29th of April Fighter Magazine reported that David Bielkheden
had been pulled out from the event after testing positive for Methylhexanamine and his fight against Yuya Shirai
was cancelled.
After the event both Jeremy Horn
and Rich Clementi
appealed to The Swedish MMA Federation regarding the decision. On the 16th of May the SMMAF Assessment Committee stated that the original decisions should stand.

On the 14th of April The Swedish MMA Federation announced that the fights between Thales Leites vs. Jeremy Horn, Diego Gonzalez vs. Daniel Acacio and David Bielkheden vs. Yuya Shirai will be held under Unified International MMA Rules. This was the first time Unified International MMA Rules were used in Sweden.Daniel Acacio made his first title defense in the welterweight division.
