Sunrise Mall

Sunrise Mall, located within the Sacramento metropolitan area, is one of the area’s largest and most successful enclosed super regional shopping centers. Originally constructed in 1971, Sunrise had an interior renovation 1999 and recently added a new food court with fireplace and 500 seats near J. C. Penney and Macy’s Men and Home. Sunrise Mall acts as the centerpiece of the Sunrise MarketPlace shopping district in southern Citrus Heights, California
, which provides Citrus Heights with a hearty economy based on sales. Sunrise Mall can be found on the corner of Sunrise Boulevard and Greenback Lane; two of metropolitan Sacramento’s busiest streets and is accessible from I-80 or Highway 50 from most locations in the greater Sacramento area. Steadfast Companies acquired the mall in January 2008.
Sunrise Mall features over 100 shops, services, specialty retailers and eateries in its 1,200,000 square feet. Including Tilly’s, Aeropostale, Subway, Verizon Wireless, Cinnabon, Bath & Body Works, Famous Footwear, Pac Sun, Journeys, Finish Line, The Children's Place, and UA Theatres

moved to nearby Westfield Galleria at Roseville
. Many fans have followed the Capitals as they’ve moved from the Sunrise Mall to Roseville’s Galleria and back. The team is very involved in the community and has given over a million dollars back to the community throughout the time they’ve been in Sacramento.

2011 marks the 26th year that The Sacramento Capitals has been part of the WTT. Along with the growth of tennis all around the country, fan support has grown over the years. Nine teams make up the 2011 WTT Pro League season, sponsored by GEICO
. The short season runs from July 4 to July 24.
WTT does a lot to keep fans in the game including soliciting support by giving away Capitals merchandise, Sunrise Mall gift cards and other fun prizes. T-shirts and other items were thrown into the audience during breaks.
In addition, vendors were set up to sell food, drinks and tennis merchandise for the event. Activities and play areas for kids were set up and a live band played beforehand and performed the national anthem. DJ music was even played over the PA system, getting some fans to dance in the stands.
The Sunrise MarketPlace, Sunrise Mall
and the Capitals continue to enjoy a wonderful partnership that has brought six WTT championships to Sacramento.
