The spectral tarsier is a species of tarsier
found in Indonesia
. It is apparently less specialized than the Philippine tarsier
or Horsfield's tarsier
; for example, it lacks adhesive toes. It is the type species
for the Tarsius genus. It is found on the island of Selayar
and possibly on nearby southwestern Sulawesi
, but the latter populations may represent a separate species, Tarsius fuscus.
Weighs about 80-100 grams and has a body length of 16cm and a tail length of 23cm. They can live up to 12 years. Males are bigger than females.
