region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km northwest of the city of Trento
and about 50 km west of the city of Bolzano (Bozen).
According to the 2001 census, 94.02% of the population speak German, 5.81% Italian and 0.17% Ladin
as first language.
