Schlag den Raab is a game show

in a number of disciplines wins the jackpot.

, puzzles and various other challenges. Raab and his opponent compete in a maximum of 15 games. After the first game the winner gets one point, for the second game two points and so on. The show ends when Raab or his opponent gains more than 60 of possible 120 points. So there is no fixed time limit for the show. It easily runs about four hours or more. The jackpot rolls over if the contestant is not successful in one episode. Raab was first defeated in the third episode, where contestant Matthias Göbel won €1.5m. The highest amount won by a single contestant so far was €3 million, won by Nino on 23 May 2009. It is an occasional show; 30 episodes have been broadcast since the first episode on 23 September 2006, the latest being on 15 October 2011.
