The ship was built as yard number 403 by Flensberger Schiffbau Gesellschaft, Flensburg. She was launched in 1926, with completion in August of that year.The ship was 236 in 2 in (71.98 m) long, with a beam of 41 in 9 in (12.73 m) and a depth of 15 in 5 in (4.7 m).
