Biography

Khamitov was born to ethnic Bashkir parents. His father, Zaki Salimovich Khamitov (1930–1993), worked as a professor, and was a doctor of technical sciences. His mother Raisa Siniyatulovna, worked as a mathematics teacher, and is now retired. Khamitov was an Honored engineer of the Republic of Bashkortostan. He was the dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization of the Bashkir State. He also has worked in the Agricultural University between 1973–1980. His younger brother, Rashid Khamitov, lives in Ufa

Personal life

Khamitov is married to Gulshat Khamitova, and they have two children. His son, Kamil is an engineer, whereas his daughter is an employee in a Tourism company. Both of Khamitov's children live in Moscow
