Russell Taylor MBE is a British

. He is best known as half of the team (with Charles Peattie
) that created the comic strip Alex. He studied at St Anne's College, Oxford. He was appointed MBE in 2002.
He and Steve Cooke composed the music for two documentaries - Chosen and Saving Africa's Witch Children - which both won BAFTAs in April 2009.
Taylor is a supporter of Tottenham Hotspur football club, and as a private joke (and to avoid libel accusations) always names characters who are fired in the Alex strip after Tottenham footballers.
