and is part of the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown
metropolitan area. The population was 31,676 at the 2010 census. The community holds the Rosenberg Czech Fest on the first weekend in May and the Fort Bend County fair in October.

In the city the population was spread out with 30.9% under the age of 18, 10.8% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 18.5% from 45 to 64, and 9.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 30 years. For every 100 females there were 98.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.2 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $35,510, and the median income for a family was $39,965. Males had a median income of $28,723 versus $21,945 for females. The per capita income
