Leddy founded the Alberta Alliance Party

Leddy served the Wildrose Alliance Party of Alberta
as a northern zone director and as elections organizer for the Edmonton region during the 2008 Alberta provincial election.
Leddy ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 2008 Alberta general election in the electoral district of Edmonton-Mill Woods. He finished a distant fourth place out of fifth, taking 2.95% of the popular vote. The election would see Liberal incumbent Weslyn Mather
defeated by Progressive Conservative Carl Benito
