who want to do engineering
and other technology subjects outside of curriculum. Ridgewood is currently negotiating for a sixth form of its own, planned to be open September 2011. It has a large open playing field towards the back of the site, which is surrounded by open fields used for agriculture
to one side of the playing field there is an old railway line, (now abandoned) it is locally known as the track, it runs through Scawsby and Sprotbrough. The schools competes in many sporting and non-sporting events including fishing
