Only substituted [6]radialenes exist as stable compounds. Stable derivatives are the hexamethyl substituted, dodecamethyl substituted and hexabromo substituted radialene.

A trisalkoxy-substituted radialene has also been also reported, the central ring adopting a non-planar twist-boat conformation:
