History

  • December 20, 1913: The station opened as Agou Station (阿緱驛).
  • October 1, 1920: Because the location was east of Banping Mountain (半屏山), the area and station became known as "East of Ping" or "Pingtung".
  • October 5, 1962: The current station opens for service.
