St.Antony's Church is one of the pilgrimage centers in Perambra. History of the Perambra church begins in the year 1820. Initially, Perambra church was under the Chalakudy parish. In 1832, Perambra church became an independent parish.

The History of St.Antony’s church perambra begins in 1820, when a Chapel was established under the name of St. Anthony of Padua. This Chapel was under the Chalakudy church for mass on Sunday’s. Due to the upended request from the people of Perambra, a Church was built in perambra during 1830 after getting approval from Kochi Maharaja and Rev. Dr. Maurelius Sebilaniyuse (Varapoly Bishop). Which became an Independent Parish in 1932.

Perambra is now considered as a single block with 1,600 families. But now NH-47 cuts it into two pieces, so there is a strong need of an underpass at Perambra Junction.
