History

The college started life in 1968
1968 in Canada

 when created by the Government of the Northwest Territories as the Adult Vocational Training Centre. It became Nunavut Arctic College when the territory of Nunavut was created in 1999.

Mission

The Nunavut Arctic College mission is to contribute to the development of Nunavut and a future that is prosperous and rooted in who we are and who we want to be.

Campus

Nunavut Arctic College has three campuses: Nunatta Campus, Kitikmeot Campus, Kivalliq Campus and 24 Community Learning Centres. Nunavut Arctic College's Head Office is in Arviat. Kitikmeot Campus is in Cambridge Bay. Kivalliq Campus is in Rankin Inlet. Nunatta Campus is in Iqaluit.

Residence

On campus housing is available to full-time students at the Nunatta, Kivalliq, and Kitikmeot Campuses.
