, Williams made his professional debut with Avalanche affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters
of the AHL. He finished the season with 21 points in 70 games, leading the Monsters' defense.
On July 16, 2009, Williams was traded by the Avalanche to the New York Rangers
in exchange for Brian Fahey
