National Small College Rugby Organization
Encyclopedia
The National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) was created in 2006 by Chip Auscavitch and Steve Cohen to support and encourage the development and organization of Division III and IV college rugby across the country.

The NSCRO runs national championship events for small-college rugby programs competing in USA Rugby
USA Rugby
USA Rugby is the national governing body for the sport of rugby union in the United States. It is divided into seven territorial Unions: Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Northeast, Pacific Coast, Southern California, South, and West...

Divisions III and IV. Prior to 2007, the national championship were known as the East Coast Division III Collegiate Rugby Championships.

Critics of the NSCRO have pointed out that many of its participants are not "small colleges." They have also pointed out that other participants in the program compete in NCAA athletics at the Division I level, and have regularly declined promotion to Division II, which would make those teams eligible to participate in the USA Rugby Collegiate Championships.
