On 11 September 2011, Asare netted his second and third Eredivisie goals for Utrecht as he helped his side defeat Excelsior 3-2. Asare grabbed another brace on 6 November, this time against Ajax
. Included in this was the game-winning goal of a stunning 6-4 upset.
