. The film, which had previously been known as Untitled Snow White Project, was officially titled Mirror Mirror on November 4, 2011. The film will be released in US theaters on March 16, 2012.

Plot

A wicked enchantress (Roberts) schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan's (Collins) throne and the attention of a charming prince (Hammer). When Snow White's beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits. Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen.

Production

Filming for Mirror Mirror began on June 20, 2011 in Montreal, Quebec under the tentative name, Untitled Snow White Project. Production on the film wrapped in mid-September and is scheduled for a March 16, 2012 release. The first trailer was release on November 30, 2011 in partnership with Relativity Media and Trailer Park. The teaser poster was release too in the same day.

     as Queen Clementianna – Roberts was the first to be cast, because very early on Tarsem Singh wanted an Evil Queen with whom audiences could relate . He stated that in the film, the queen is not evil, but rather insecure. He also revealed that the Queen's true ugliness may be revealed at the very end of the film.

     was considered for the role of Snow White but the age difference between she and Armie Hammer was too large (he was 24 and she was 16). Collins was eventually cast in the role. Collins said in an interview that her casting happened in 24 hours after she met Tarsem Singh and read for him
