Deronjić held the post of President of the Bratunac Municipal Board of the Serbian Democratic Party from 1990 to 1992, and was later a member of its main board. In this role he ordered the attack on Glogova.
He originally pleaded not guilty to all charges, later pleading guilty to one charge of persecution as part of a deal. In 2004, he was sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment. Deronjić was serving his sentence in Sweden
when he died in 2007.
