Maryland Route 137 begins at Gunpowder Road in Armacost and travels south carrying Mount Carmel Road, beginning its eastern path at Pleasant Meadow Road. Part of Gunpowder Road not on the Maryland highway system leads west from this intersection and into Carroll County, Maryland
