, the Spartans performed poorly finishing 5-7. The 2008 season started off well, with the Spartans going 3-0 for the first time in the school's history, with Arroyo as the co-offensive coordinator, and quarterbacks coach, working with starter Kyle Reed
. After the 2008 season concluded, Arroyo accepted a job as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach of the University of Wyoming
. He joined the University of California, Berkeley
