  • Raja Raghvendra Pratap Singh, second son of Raja Raghuraj Singh quit his studies in London and joined the freedom movement at the behest of Raja Awadhesh Singh of Kalakankar and was elected as Congress MLA in 1936. He later fellout with Pt Gobind Ballabh Pant and became the founder of Swatantra Party in UP.
