From the inception of the Bahrain league in 1945 till the start of 1990s, Manama did not make an important impact on Bahraini football. While rivals Al Ahli were winning three national titles, Manama were struggling to maintain their status among the elite. However, Manama Club is most commonly the club representing Bahrain in Asian soccer competitions; the last being the Asian Champions League. Manama Club will be the first Bahraine team to compete in the AFC Cup

Manama Club is at the final stage of its Internatioanl football Academy and Summer camps which will see hundreds of young telent from Africa, the Carrabians, Europe and Americans.

And contributed to the Arab Club in raising high the banner of Bahrain with the participation of players in the national teams in international forums. Also had a prominent role in pushing a lot of players old and retired to practice, arbitration and management. He has held a large number of its members in leadership positions with trade domestic and foreign. The club is currently in talks with big European clubs for partnership deals.
