Performing professionally since the age of 12, she co-founded WCE Records in 2004 off the heels of her première calendar release in 2003. The cross marketing of the calendar "Spend 12 Months With Malina Moye: Hot Fun in California Sun" with her single "Girlfriend" caught the attention of radio and critics alike, who dubbed Malina as a Madonna-like ingénue of marketing. This helped to land her on the R&B Hip-Hop Sales Billboard Charts

She has appeared on national TV shows like Weekends at the D.L.

That fall Malina was also a part of Victoria Secret's "Life is Pink" campaign and sang the National Anthem for more than 40,000 people at the Petco Park
