In early 2011 it was reported that Mad Child was banned from entering the United States, evidently due to alleged ties with the Hells Angels
biker gang. Bunting said that he was detained at an American airport for approximately 8 hours before being told he could not enter the country, and is currently working with a lawyer in San Diego, California

In August 2011, Mad Child returned to his battle roots taking part in his first ever recorded battle. He Faced California battle legend Dirtbag Dan, Mad Child won in a 3 to 2 judges decision.
