Leadership

As of May 1, 2010 MENC staff members are led by Michael A Butera. Previous to that, staff was led by John J. Mahlmann who retired in early 2010. Prior to joining MENC in 1983, Mahlmann was the Executive Director of the National Art Education Association and a former art educator. He holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Fine Arts from Boston University
