Newsdays where for one day a group of students will become professional news reporters. This is run and produced by the media students who take part in the after school media club. Media club enables students who want a more practical approach to media to learn new skills in camera work, sound, and editing. Most members will then go onto producing small programs for the televisions which are located around the school.
for Fidelity upon Child although the school always said it meant Attention to Detail which is actually 'Intentio ut Retineo'. Ex-Headmaster Mr Batten used to say 'faithful to the little ones'. There are currently four houses in the school; Martin, Nelson, Cavell
and Paget

The school was originally built for the Great Yarmouth High School for Girls which moved from Trafalgar Road Great Yarmouth to the new building in 1957, it became the coeducational Gorleston Grammar School in 1970. It was recently awarded the status of Technology CollegeTechnology College
