Lynn Faith Gladden CBE
, FRS
is the Shell Professor of Chemical Engineering
and was Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology
at the University of Cambridge
up until 1 October 2010. She is also a Pro-Vice Chancellor
from 1 January 2010 and a Fellow of Trinity College
since 1999. She is the lead researcher at the university's magnetic resonance
research centre (MRRC).
Gladden obtained a BSc
in Chemical Physics
at the University of Bristol
in 1982 and a PhD
in Physical Chemistry
at Cambridge in 1987. She is a Chartered Chemist
and Chartered Engineer, being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry

She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2003 and a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2004.
