Liloy is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines
. It embraces 37 barangays with a total land area of 12,843 hectares with a total estimated population of 36,948 in 1995. It is mainly as agricultural community whose existing economy relies mostly on crop production such us corn, rice, coconuts, peanuts, and root crops. Liloy is a fishing ground of the northwestern towns of the province of Zamboanga. It is also known as "The Peanut Capital of ZaNorte".
on August 22, 1951 but was unorganized and inaugurated on December 16, of the same year.
A huge portion of the territorial jurisdiction of Liloy had been taken away as a result of the creation and separation of Salug in 1959 and later in Tampilisan in 1978. Now the total land area is only 12,843 hectares, seventy-eight percent of the land area is agricultural planted to coconuts, corn, rice, and root crop. Residential area is sixty-five (65) hectares. Commercial area at present is nine (9) hectares; Industrial area is found in Barangay Timan and Sta. Cruz with a total land area of (10); institutional land is fifty (50) hectares and the rest comprise the open space and road right of – way. What maybe considered urban land according to the records in the assessor’s office are eight hundred sixty hectares and this increasing very fast with the approaching full operation of Liloy's wharf.
Jaime N. Lim is the mayor of the municipality. He was once a mayor before and re-elected in 2007 and 2010. His vice mayor, Alfred U. Chan is elected on 2007 and re-elected on the 2010 elections.

It is one of the three domestic airports in the province, settled in Barangay Communal, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte
and was first developed in the year 1950 under the administration of the late Municipal Mayor Kino Bomediano. The first O.I.C of Liloy Airport is Tony Mesias (Fil.Am.) it is under the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (former ATO).
During 1960 to 1970 three PAL planes are on their flights in twelve sits Aircraft going to any domestic destination like Cebu and Davao. Its runway usable length is 600m in the total of 1200m.
Mr. Edwardo Toledo is now the O.I.C of Liloy Airport. Private and Government Charter planes and Choppers are commonly landed in the airport.
One festival Liloy is proud of is Alay Festival. It once was a private-funded festival by the Tan family in Brgy. Fatima honoring Nuestra Señora Birhen de Regla. At present, it is one of the most celebrated festival in the town. And, the Local Government Officials have also contributed and showed support financially and morally for the said activity. This festival is exceptional and remarkable to the hearts of the people and for promoting Liloy to tourists and visitors in a unique way.
But the most celebrated day is the Araw ng Liloy every August 22, it is now most known as Linggo ng Liloy because the celebration is extended for a week. It is a week full of games; celebrated with all the pomp and pageantry specifically Mutya ng Liloy. This is an annual celebration of the town and to reminisce its humble beginnings since its liberation of becoming a duly constituted town.
The under-construction one-of-a-kind two-floor market which will have an escalator will be the first in the province, surely, this would entice more spectators to visit the fully air-conditioned mall-like market.

- is a public institution of learning for high school students in the Liloy town and the neighboring towns like Salug, Tampilisan and some neighboring barangays in Labason. Its primary goal is to provide quality instruction to pursue the goals of Secondary Education as a link to tertiary level.

History and Creation
Liloy is one of the most promising of the twelve towns of the 3rd Congressional District of Zamboanga del Norte. It was once a barrio of Municipality of Sindangan. Government
Liloy is governed mainly by a municipal hall, composed of one mayor, one vice-mayor and eight councilors. Each official is elected publicly to a three year term. The chief of the Association of Barangay Captains and the President of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation also managed in the municipal council.Jaime N. Lim is the mayor of the municipality. Municipal Hall History
The nerve center of the local administration is housed in the building, the main building or the Municipal Hall was built in the late 1950s which is a two-story Batangas type building and later was repaired in 1987, and one story building annex municipal building was constructed in 1965 and later was repaired in 1990. At present, the building is undergoing a major reconstruction after the budget is being approved and also through the efforts exerted by the officials who have also contributed for the reconstruction and overhauling.Topography

Climate
The municipality of Liloy, like most of the municipalities of Zambo. Del Norte belongs to the fourth type of climate. The rainfall is evenly distributed throughout the year. However, there are two districts seasons, the dry and the rainy. Usually the rainy season of this municipality starts from the month of June and end in the month of December, while the dry season starts from January to May. Typhoon is rarely in this area, because it is not within the typhoon belt.Culture
The fiesta is part and parcel of Filipino culture. Through good times and bad times, the fiesta must go on. Each city and barrio has at least one local festival of its own, usually on the feast of its patron saint, so that there is always a fiesta going on somewhere in the country. This town is blessed with white sand beaches and bluish color of the sea that Liloyans are truly proud of. With the growing developments of beaches in the Barangays of Patawag, Banigan, Sta.
