Geography

The A15 used to run through the village on Captain's Hill until the 1950s. The B1209 passes through the village to join the A153 further east, passing across Leasingham Moor. Close by to the west is RAF Cranwell

History

The village has many fine old buildings - notably the large church of St Andrews, the manor house and a row of alms houses - as well as a good stock of modern housing. A recent development was Highwayman's Haunt which was built in the 1990s on the east side of the village.
