Early life

From his early years, Lakshmikant was interested in acting. His participation in stage dramas during the cultural activities for Ganesh festival celebrations performed at Konkanasth Vaishya Samaj

Following this, Berde started his acting career with the Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh. In 1983, he appeared in his first major play, Purushottam Berde's Tour Tour which was a hit.

Film career

Lakshmikant made his movie debut with the Marathi movie Lek Chalali Sasarla. Following this, Berde started getting offers to act in Marathi films.
