Kirchdorf has an area, , of 6.13 km² (2.4 sq mi). Of this area, 4.16 km² (1.6 sq mi) or 67.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.09 km² (0.420851352865863 sq mi) or 17.8% is forested. Of the agricultural land, 41.3% is used for growing crops and 22.3% is pastures, while 4.2% is used for orchards or vine crops. All the water in the municipality is in lakes.
