Kenneth Vermeer (ˈkɛ.nət vər.ˈmɪːr) (born 10 January 1986) is a Dutch
footballer
who plays goalkeeper
for AFC Ajax. He has been capped for the Netherlands U-21 team
but has so far failed to break into the national team.
for the 2007–08 season. In the 2008–09 season he started as the second choice keeper behind Maarten Stekelenburg. When Stekelenburg got injured, Vermeer replaced him well. As a result, Ajax trainer Marco van Basten decided to make Vermeer his first choice. Under new Ajax manager Martin Jol
