Kasamh Se is an Indian soap opera

and aired every Monday - Thursday depending on which country it broadcasts in. The story deals with the trials and tribulations of three sisters, Bani Walia, Pia Shukla and Rano Bali. Kasamh Se concluded on March 12, 2009 on Holi. In the end on of the show the original Bani (Prachi Desai
) was present to end the show during Holi.
Kasamh Se is the story of three very different sisters. Bani (Prachi Desai
) is the main character and the eldest, mature and responsible. Pia (Roshni Chopra
) is the middle child, modern and glamorous. Rano (Arunima Sharma
) is the youngest, smart and intelligent. After their father's death, the sisters go to Mumbai
to live with the rich and successful Jai Walia (Ram Kapoor
) and his family. Bani falls in love with a young lad named Pushkar while Jai falls in love with Pia. Pushkar falls in love with Pia so Bani sacrifices her love for the sake of her sister. Jai proposes to Pia and Pia decides to marry him because he is wealthy. However, on the wedding night, Pia elopes with Pushkar. Jigyasa doesn't want the Walia family to be humiliated so she forces Bani to take Pia's place at the altar and Jai ends up marrying Bani. Bani and Jai's relationship starts off on the rocks. With time however, they become friends. Jai realizes Bani's good nature and he and Bani fall in love and consummate their marriage.
When Jai and Bani find out that Bani is pregnant with his child, they are ecstatic with joy. Unfortunately, a sniper thrashes Bani, causing her to have a miscarriage. Jai goes on a business trip with Pia and gets drunk. Pia seduces him with drugs and they have a one-night-stand, leaving Jai shaken up by the incident.
Bani comes to know of the one night stand and goes into a paralyzed state in shock. Jai struggles to make her alright and when she finally comes to her senses, she forgives them both. Pia however, is intent on getting revenge on Bani. After Bani and Jai have two children, she sends Bani to prison on account of a crime she did not commit. Pia blackmails Jai, saying he can choose between Bani getting 5 years in prison or life imprisonment
. Jai realizes that 5 years is better than a life sentence and helplessly testifies against Bani in court, thus sending Bani to jail.
5 years later
Bani suffers in jail for 5 years. When she gets trapped in a fire, she is saved by a mysterious, handsome man named Aparajit Dev(Ronit Roy
). Bani harbors a deep hatred and anger for the Walia family after what they did to her. Jai and Bani's kids are now 5-year-olds. Dev knows everything about what happened to Bani and transforms her into a strong, confident woman hellbent on getting revenge. Bani changes her name to Durga and lives with Dev. Dev is an equally angry and vengeful young man who lost the love of his life and believes Jai is responsible. He teaches Durga how to take proper revenge on Jai. Durga regularly visits her kids and Jai is ecstatic when he sees her. This happiness is quickly crushed when Durga destroys the Walia company, fulfilling her kasamh (swear) of taking revenge. Durga finds that she is unhappy at seeing Jai in a helpless state and realizes that she still loves him. However, Dev slowly falls in love with Durga. Now caught in a love triangle, Durga resorts back to her old self, the sweet, innocent Bani. Jai explains that he was not responsible for what happened to Dev and Dev leaves, content. Just when everything seems alright, Bani's two 5-year-old children are kidnapped and murdered and Bani is thrown out of the house with her other daughter Ganga after a misunderstanding.
Another 5 years later
Bani changes her name to Maithili and for five years, she lives with Ganga in a small village. Jai marries Meera, a devious woman, because he needs a mother for his children but Meera is actually in love with him. Bani meets Daksh, a mentally unstable young man. He acts crazy but mysteriously calms down whenever he sees Bani and has deep affection for her. Bani finds out that the reason for this is because Bani had a twin sister named Anamika. When they were born, her mother gave Anamika to her best friend. Daksh and Anamika were in love and about to be married but Anamika died and since then, Daksh has been mental. Bani helps Daksh get better and they become good friends.
Bani and Jai come face-to-face again. Bani finds Pia paralyzed in a wheelchair and it's revealed that Pia knows who the killer of Bani's children is. Jai confesses his love for Bani. Bani however, has seen how much Meera loves Jai and how much she took care of Bani's children so she sacrifices her love for Jai. She makes Jai think that she loves Daksh now and Meera is joyous that Jai is hers, even though Jai is left heartbroken.
Daksh finds out who the killer of Bani's children are but before he can say anything, he is murdered. Bani and Jai reunite, happily in love. They have two more children, twins. With horror, Bani finds out that the killer of her children is Meera, who had Bani's kids kidnapped and murdered when she was blinded with love for Jai and went mad with jealousy when Jai always and only loved Bani. Meera takes one of Bani's newborn babies into the woods, ensuing in a fight between Bani and Meera. In an attempt to kill her, Meera beats Bani's head against rocks and sets her on fire. Burning, Bani falls off a cliff into the water below. When no evidence is found, Bani is assumed to be dead, which breaks Jai apart completely.
Season 2
However, Bani survived the ordeal. She is found on the shore and taken to the hospital. Her face has been extremely burned so she is given a new face with plastic surgery. Bani awakens with a new face (Gurdeep Kohli
) and finds that she has lost all her memory and doesn't remember who she is. Her name is changed to Pronita Mitra. Pronita repeatedly sketches a portrait of her old face but she doesn't recognize herself since she doesn't remember. She also has frequent flashbacks of her murder.
16 years later
Sixteen years later, Jai and Bani's children are all grown up and the Walia family still miss Bani. Pronita goes to the temple where she was murdered and meets Jai Walia, though he doesn't recognize her because of her different face. Pronita is invited to the Walia household, where they are having a party to honor Bani. For the first time after 16 years, Pronita sees Meera and all her flashbacks become clear. Her memory returns and she remembers everything from the beginning when she and her sisters first arrived to the Walia family to her attempted murder by Meera. Shocked and devastated, Pronita vows revenge on Meera.
Pronita first tortures Meera mentally but Meera soon figures out that Pronita is Bani herself. She attempts to kill Pronita the same way she did 16 years ago. They meet at the same place where Bani burned and Meera beats Bani almost killing her. Just when Meera is about to kill Pronita, Jigyasa pulls meera back and brutally beats her,covering Meera with her own blood, she was both getting revenge on her for chucking her out of the house and ruining her life,while saving Pronita. Jigyasa is about to set Meera on fire before the police turn with Jai, taking Meera away.It is later realised that Jigyasa saved Bani after she was burned and had to beg on the streets to raise money for her plastic surgery so she'd be safe from Meera. Shocked and joyous at realizing that Pronita is Bani, he and Bani reunite happily after 16 long years. Pia arrives with her husband Pushkar and Rano arrives as well. After such a long time, the three sisters come together. On Holi
