Kalfas is a Greek

Turks
until the Greek War of Independence
of 1821. Kalfa beecame a part of the then municipality of Tritaia until 1912, it was a community between 1912 and 1998 under the Capodistrian Plan, it returned into the municipality of Tritaia since that time.
After World War II

, much of the population left for larger towns and cities especially the nearby Patras
. The population declined until 1991, but it slowly recovered by 20% between 1991 and 2001.
Houses were stone-built until the 1950s and did not surpass modern-style homes until the 1980s. It was linked with pavement in the 1980s. Most of the homes are abandoned today.
A forest fire ravaged the village on Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26, 2007 and consumed some forests around the area. Several firefighters along with choppers and planes battled the flame for hours. The fire was arson caused.

Geography
Its geography are mare up of farmlands that dominate the valley areas and are mainly consists of groves that are in the western part, the mountains covers the eastern part. It offers a view of Erymanthos, the valley and Mount Skollis. Three cafés are situated in the village.History
