The station filed in 2000 for a power increase to class C3. It was granted years later after much modification and application tweaking. This was overseen by the Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. Engineering department. These people more or less specialized in upgrades (KESS-FM Dallas, Tx, KAMA-FM Houston, Tx, WADO (AM) New York, areas.
