Mundy has written many articles for specialist music and rock 'n' roll publications, as well as assisting in research for a wide variety of organisations including BBC Television and Radio, Granada Television, Sky One, Channel 4, Sky News, GMTV and QVC. She was also responsible for a re-launching the official Elvis Presley fan club

In 1999, members of Elvis' personal entourage awarded Julie with a lifetime achievement award for her work in promoting Elvis and made her an honorary member of Elvis' Memphis Mafia.
