). The building is developed and owned by Quantuvis Resources Corporation. During construction phase, the name used for the building was Q-Tower.

Originally planned to be a 38-storey building, it was finally approved to have 41 floors above ground with a total height of 150 meters (492.1 feet) from ground to its architectural top.

Location

The building is located on a 1,790-square-meter lot with its frontage along ADB Avenue and the rear-side along Topaz Street, in the heart of the Ortigas Center central business district, in front of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) headquarters. Its strategic location makes the new and only Oakwood Premier serviced apartments ideal for expatriates working and dealing with ADB who need hotel and accommodation services, since it is just located right in front of the major banking institution. It is also a few blocks away from numerous shopping malls and entertainment areas like The Podium

Project team

The Joy~Nostalg Center was conceptualized and master-planned by Architects Esteban Y. Tan and Gavino L. Tan Partners, while interior design specifics were designed conceptually by Lee Designs (the Interior Design firm of C.Y. Lee & Partners) and executed by Leandro V. Locsin & Partners with the hotel/serviced apartments guided by Oakwood Technical Group from Singapore. The façade and interior design concepts were made in collaboration with the Taiwan-based architectural group of C.Y. Lee & Partners, responsible for the concept behind the former tallest building in the world, the Taipei 101

. All the designs were directed and approved by the architectural design director of Quantuvis Resources Corporation.

Building

The Joy~Nostalg Center is a 41-storey mixed use building, with 18 floors of commercial office space, 22 floors of premium serviced apartments, and 6 basement parking levels. Of the 18 commercial office floors, 6 will be used as the headquarters of Asia United Bank, while the remaining 12 will be leased for other parties. The premium serviced apartments will be operated by international company Oakwood Premier.

The building has exterior curtain walls using modern stick system and aluminum composite cladding, and it has a double-glazed Low-Emissivity glass facade that deflects 35% of outside heat, which in turn reduces energy consumption in airconditioning by 35%. It also has a penthouse sky garden and lounge, and a helicopter landing deck on the rooftop.

The building will also house restaurants including French restaurant Le Souffle, Asia United Bank

Construction

The excavation works for the building started on December 2006, and structural works started by June 2007. The building was topped off on 20 November 2008, and was completed by the 3rd quarter of 2009. The building, together with its main tenant, the Oakwood Premier, had its soft launching on 1 August 2009, and was formally opened on 9 September 2009.
