from the class of 2007. One scouting report read:

"At 6-foot-10, 200-pounds, Leuer definitely needs some time to fill out his frame for high-major competition. Nonetheless, he is a pure shooter with good overall skills with the ball. He can knock down a jump hook and can play off the dribble. He moves well up and down the court, but has a ways to go defensively and as a rebounder. Could be an impact player with his size and unique skill set if he does get stronger."

Senior season

Leuer heads into his senior season as a preseason All-Big Ten selection and on the Wooden Award preseason watch list. He needs 245 points to join Wisconsin's 1,000 point club. He is ranked 10th in UW history with .492 career field-goal percentage. In both polls, the Badgers are the fifth ranked Big Ten team.

SI.com named Leuer their Big Ten preseason player of the year. About Leuer, Luke Winn wrote:

"Watch out for Leuer, an ultra-efficient, 6-foot-10 forward who'll be the Badgers' clear No. 1 offensive option for the first time in his career," Winn wrote in an article published Wednesday.

"He drew rave reviews from USA Basketball coaches for his work on the college select team this summer -- especially for his mid-range moves and driving skills -- and could very well enjoy a 20-and-8 season as a senior, putting himself in the conversation to become a the first UW player drafted since Alando Tucker.
