Company's Coming cookbooks

Prior to publishing cookbooks, Paré was a well known caterer. She did not begin her writing career until the age of 54. In 1981, Paré self-published her first cookbook. 15,000 copies of 150 Delicious Squares were produced, and sold in specially designed racks at gas stations, grocery stores and at local fairs. This first book started the Company's Coming company.

Paré went onto write over 200 cookbooks before her retirement in 2011. Each of her cookbooks is about a single subject.

Several Company's Coming books feature a joke at the bottom of every few pages, although these jokes are usually regarded as corny and are not considered to be funny (by Carter).

Her daughter, Gail Lovig, is responsible for marketing and distribution of the cookbooks.
