Jang Tae-wan was South Korean soldier.
Jang was Capital Security Commander during Coup d'état of December Twelfth
. Hanahoe, which was prime mover group of coup d'état tried to appease Jang. However, staunch Jang rejected it. Instead, Jang cursed and sweard them strongly, "You god damn rebels! Do not move and stay there! I will drive a tank right now and blow your heads away!" and fought against rebel troops. But He lost because of subordinates' betrayal.
Jang was forced to position cancellation and his son who was student of SNU
died an unnatural death. Jang's father starved to death by himself.
Jang died in 2010. Many Korean people are valuing him as a symbol of true soldier, who had stood against coup d´état.
