Jade quickly established herself as a front-runner in the show, and with the exception of the semi-finals and the first week of the finals, she was always put through to the next round as one of the top three performing girls. She won a total of 3 in-show competitions, including two in the same week at the final 4 stage.
She quickly became a fan favourite due to her consistently strong performances and likeable personality. After the second week, McSorley was never placed outside the second best photo, with the exception in eighth week when she was placed third. McSorley was eliminated from the competition in third place after making her first appearance in the Bottom 2 with eventual winner Mecia Simson
. The judges stated that whilst they felt Jade had progressed massively during the competition, they still felt that she wasn't ready to handle the modelling industry, and head judge Lisa Snowdon
expressed doubts that Jade would be able maintain her recovery from her disorder if she were to model full-time.

It was announced in September 2009 that Jade would front a makeover show through Living TV's upcoming online channel, starting 23 October 2009.
Jade has modelled for asos.com, and also represents luxury lingerie company Tallulah Love, showcasing their new vintage collection. The collection launched in Paris in January 2010.
Recently Mcsorley has also taken some shots for the new Swatch
campaign with photographer John Rankin Waddell.
She is also the model for House of Fraser's new collection Label Lab, featured in Grazia Magazine,Sony Ericsson,Bank Clothing and MyWardrobe.com.
She walked in the live final of Britain's Next Top Model series 6.
with her mum April, and her stepfather Russell, who stepped in as her father when Jade was 8 months old. She first started treatment for anorexia from the age of 8, and went into hospital a few months before her appearance on Top Model when her weight dropped to 6 stone (38 kg). Her inclusion on a major reality show was criticised as irresponsible under the suggestion it promoted an unhealthy body image for impressionable viewers. Head judge Lisa Snowdon
defended McSorley's participation, stating that her run on the programme was actually helping McSorley see her own body in a more positive way. McSorley was also frequently shown being told that she needed to gain weight, and after the show, she stated that following the conclusion of filming of the programme, she had gained a stone (6.4 kg) in weight.
Following the conclusion of the programme, winner Mecia Simson
stated that she and McSorley were moving to London
