LeClair played his entire National Hockey League
career with the Montreal Canadiens
. He played three seasons with the Habs, 1954–55 — 1956–57. He is often credited with winning two Stanley Cup
in 1956 and 1957 However, LeClair's name is not on the Stanley Cup in 1957. In 1957 Jackie LeClaire played 47 games for Montreal, qualifying to be engraved on it. However, Montreal left LeClair's name off the cup, because he was sent to the minors before the playoffs started. He never played other NHL game. The remainder of his career was spent in the QHL, AHL

Jack had suffered from a heart attack after his NHL career, and which resulted in him experiencing Memory Loss. He died of old age during the month of September, 2011.
