2011 mosque bombing plot

On January 24, 2011, an Imperial Beach, California man named Roger Stockham was arrested and charged with terrorism after attempting to blow up the Islamic Center of America. According to police, he targeted the city because of its large Arab-American and Muslim population although he later claimed to be a convert to Sunni Islam

Pastor Terry Jones rally

A day before the scheduled appearance of Pastor Terry Jones, 21 April 2011, hundreds of people from all faiths gathered in a show of solidarity. Jews, Christians and other faith groups stood side by side with inter-locked arms in opposition to Terry Jones. Also, the Dearborn Circuit Court ruled that Terry Jones' planned protest would be a Breach of Peace with one of the biggest concerns being the large number of death threats (over 300) received against Jones to date. Terry Jones subsequently got an attorney and plans to file a lawsuit against the court in the coming days.
