in 2004, and the second was Finsceal Beo
in 2007.

The event was established in 1922, a year after the launch of the Irish 2,000 Guineas. The inaugural running was won by Lady Violette.It is Ireland's equivalent of the 1,000 Guineas, and in recent years it has taken place three weeks after that race.
