became interested in poetry. His grandfather was a writer himself, which had an impact on the success of Pillat. Still after studying Law, he managed to become a distinguished Romanian poet. Today, he is known for two main points. First off, he is most famous for his volume Pe Argeş în sus which stands for "Upstream on the Arges". Ion Pillat is also famous for his use of One-Line poems. Ion Pillat enjoyed writing poems about many different topics. His main topics were one-line poems about animals. Any animal from dolphin

, as well as a world-range poet. Being the first poet to define the use of one line poems, rewarded Ion Pillat with a sense of credibility as he went on and wrote many classic one-line poems. His definition was "A single Panflute, but how many echoes in the words". Back in the time of Ion Pillat, one-line poems were a new type of poetry. Now there are many poets who write or have written one-line poems, because of the increase in the popularity of them. When compared to Florentin Smarandache, Ion Pillat

. It goes without saying that Pillat was named (Ion) after his grandfather. Ion Bratianu's family was very wealthy and grew up in Wallachia, Romania. Bratianu died a few short months after the birth of his grandson Pillat. Although Ion Pillat would not be able to remember his grandfather, there was plenty of stories and history that he would have been told about his special grandfather. Ion Bratianu lived a full life to say the least. Besides the fact that he was born into a wealthy family, he also joined the Wallachian Army where he served for three years. One of his writings was "Musings on the Situation" which he wrote in 1856. For Ion Pillat to have such a talented grandfather, it was easy for him to use that to his advantage. Although Bratianu might have been more well known by the public, they both lived very talented lives, and successful careers.
